Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in coordinating and managing all phases of construction projects. This role is involved in estimating, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, cost tracking, and documentation to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working collaboratively with field and office teams, subcontractors, and clients. A strong understanding of construction documents, budgeting, scheduling software, and blueprint interpretation is essential.
Junior Estimator
The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. This role assists with quantity takeoffs, preliminary budgets, bid preparation, subcontractor coordination, and cost analysis to help ensure competitive and well-informed proposals.
Working closely with the Senior and Chief Estimators, the Junior Estimator reviews plans and specifications, analyzes labor and material costs, solicits and evaluates subcontractor pricing, and maintains organized project documentation. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to read construction documents are essential.
Candidates should have a foundational understanding of construction methods and materials, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage timelines in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Senior/Chief Estimator and offers a strong opportunity for professional growth within the preconstruction team.
General Laborer
The General Laborer provides essential on-site support to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role assists field crews with demolition, material handling, site clean-up, excavation and backfill, compaction and grading, and supporting carpenters and masons with concrete work.
The position requires daily attention to job site safety, proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintaining clean, organized work areas — particularly in occupied environments. Candidates must have dependable transportation, their own hand tools, OSHA 10 certification, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity.
Site Division Laborer
The Site Division Laborer plays a key role in supporting site development and utility operations on active construction projects. This position assists with excavation, backfill, compaction, grading, site clean-up, demolition, and supporting carpenters, operators, and utility crews.
In addition to general labor responsibilities, this role may lead specific task crews under the direction of the Site Superintendent, assist with installation of site utilities (water, sewer, storm), help set and maintain grades, and operate heavy equipment as needed. A strong understanding of basic plan reading, site layout, and safe equipment use is essential.
Candidates must have OSHA 10 certification, dependable transportation, their own hand tools, and a strong commitment to job site safety, organization, and teamwork.
CDL Driver / Laborer
The CDL Driver / Laborer is responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, while also providing hands-on support to field crews. This role plays a key part in maintaining job site efficiency, safety, and organization throughout all phases of construction.
Responsibilities include equipment transport, material handling, site clean-up, demolition support, assisting carpenters and masons, excavation and backfill operations, and maintaining daily equipment logs. The position also requires adherence to all safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintaining clean, organized job sites.
Candidates must have a clean CDL license, OSHA 10 certification, dependable transportation, and their own hand tools. A strong work ethic, safety awareness, and ability to collaborate effectively with field teams are essential.
Assistant Site Superintendent
The Assistant Site Superintendent supports the Superintendent and General Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role assists in supervising designated portions of commercial and residential construction projects, both new construction and renovations.
Responsibilities include reviewing plans and scopes of work, tracking materials and production, participating in safety meetings and toolbox talks, conducting quality inspections, assisting with subcontractor coordination, and maintaining detailed daily reports. The Assistant Site Superintendent helps uphold MHCM’s safety and quality standards while building strong communication with field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
This is an entry-level leadership position designed to develop future field leaders. Candidates should have 1–3 years of construction experience or a degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering. OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred), the ability to read and interpret blueprints, strong organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
This position reports directly to the Superintendent and General Superintendent and offers a clear path for advancement within field leadership.
Site Superintendent I
The Site Superintendent I is responsible for the overall success of assigned construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees day-to-day field operations from sitework through final turnover, managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining clear communication with project management and clients.
Responsibilities include reviewing plans and scopes of work, developing and managing project schedules (including critical path), coordinating labor and materials, conducting quality inspections, leading safety efforts, and maintaining detailed daily reporting. The Site Superintendent ensures technical specifications are followed and that team performance, morale, and client satisfaction remain high throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidates should have 5–7 years of supervisory experience in commercial or residential construction (or progression through the Assistant Superintendent tier), strong blueprint-reading skills, OSHA 30 certification, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position reports directly to the General Superintendent and offers continued advancement within field leadership.
Site Superintendent II
The Site Superintendent II is responsible for leading and delivering complex construction projects from sitework through final turnover. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day field operations, the Site Superintendent II develops and manages detailed project schedules, coordinates labor and material procurement, enforces safety standards, conducts quality inspections, and maintains consistent communication with project management and clients. This role also mentors and develops Assistant Superintendents and field team members, helping build the next generation of MHCM leadership.
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in commercial or residential construction (or progression through the Superintendent I tier), comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, strong blueprint-reading skills, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities. OSHA 30 certification, scaffolding and SWPPP training, and strong leadership capabilities are required.
This position reports directly to the General Superintendent and represents an advanced field leadership role with continued growth opportunity.
Senior Superintendent
The Senior Superintendent provides advanced field leadership across multiple construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism. This role oversees complex operations from sitework through final turnover while serving as a mentor and resource for Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.
In addition to managing schedules (including critical path development), coordinating labor and resources, conducting quality inspections, and enforcing safety standards, the Senior Superintendent works closely with the General Superintendent to refine MHCM’s safety program, quality control processes, and field leadership development. This role plays a key part in shaping best practices, mentoring field teams, and strengthening the Superintendent career path.
Candidates should have 15+ years of supervisory experience in commercial or residential construction (or progression through the Superintendent II tier), comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, strong administrative and scheduling capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop others. OSHA 30 certification and additional safety training are required.
This position reports directly to the General Superintendent and represents the highest level of field leadership within the organization.
Shop Mechanic
The Shop Mechanic keeps MHCM’s fleet and equipment operating safely and efficiently. Responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, heavy equipment, and small equipment, both in the shop and on active job sites.
Performs routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while maintaining detailed work orders and maintenance records. Ensures all equipment is clean, organized, and job-ready, and monitors supply inventory to keep preventative maintenance items fully stocked.
Maintains organization and security of the shop, yard, and service truck, and may assist with job site deliveries as needed. Reviews overall equipment condition, not just reported issues, to proactively identify potential problems.
Requires a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus), dependable transportation, personal mechanic’s tools, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, accountability, and punctuality.
